Got a new (little) electric Volvo on the 24 October. Their stupid system, is they offer a ‘free’ charger (good). However they will not install it for several weeks – why!!! They could easily install it in advance, and if people cancel their cars they have to pay the full price of the charger. But not Volvo, next result 5 weeks after getting the car the charger was installed, sadly not properly.

Today, 2 months after getting the car they finally install all the bits of the charger. However it still isan’t working properly as the system can’t calculate how much charge you already have.

This says I have a totally flat battery, when in real life it’s about 70% charged.

Makes you wonder why any sane person would buy electric.

we always go to the Christmas concert at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, partly because Sally sings in it. But also it always feels like the start of Christmas.

Really enjoyable.

They always invite the children onto the stage. The last two years I have gone down with Mia, this year, she’s grownup and went on her own.

She did come back with a goodie bag including glasses…

After the concert, off to a restaurant in West Bridgford for an excellent meal.

Love playing with my toys. It was time the Landy had a bit of of TLC. So new exhaust, new manifold, and changed the carburettor. Good fun.It did sound bad before.

Now sounds so much better, although maybe a bit more tuning required.

Couldn’t have done it without a lot of help from Garry a good friend of mine.

Always fun leading upto Christmas. Mia around making Christmas biscuits. I think she and Sally had a fun time, and I enjoyed eating them.

Then she decided to play ukulele, what more could we ask for.

To be fair, when I normally renew my tax on the cars and tractors (mostly zero) the DVLA is very efficient.

However I needed a new V5C for our new electric car because Volvo messed it up. Sadly I had to send a cheque (or postal orders). I am also trying to get a tractor registered, again I have to write a cheque.Why!!

Come on DVLA get your act together. You are normally doing so well. This is spoiling it

Another full council meeting in Burton. Today’s main contentious issue related to a number of Reform county councillors whose social media appear more aligned to racism/white supremacy. Very unsavoury. I spoke out against them.

Yet more potholes, this time on our road. Unfortunately I can’t blame the County Council, this time it’s the electricity company.

Classic, filled the hole in, but did a poor job. 3 weeks later they came back and did it properly.
