Went onto the Zoom church service tonight. Due to technical problems the Pastor couldn’t get on.
I suddenly found myself hosting a church service. Although I was scheduled to do a reading, others are far more qualified to do more in the service.
Fortunately our pastor got on (voice only), a little later, so I could relax again….

Optimistic. Decided to book a few Motorhome breaks.
Booked three, the first I expect to be cancelled the second maybe, and the third hopefully…. let’s see.

Sally and I having a couple of unusual beers.
Mine is a nice raspberry and vanilla stout.
Sally has gone for honeycomb pale ale from Seven Brothers. Another good beer.

Had a new heating system installed. New radiators in every room.
Changed from oil to air source heat pumps, very green.
The government scheme (RHI – Renewal Heat Incentive) is a great scheme. The government grant over 7 years pays 3/4 of our costs, and it’s cheaper to run. Daft not to do it.
A great incentive to go green.

Out for our weekly visit to the supermarket. Left Alfie at home. My mistake, left his bag of treats on the kitchen table.
When we got bad, all that was left was an empty bag ?? not impressed.

Not a bad day for repairing things.
The water pump broke on my Motorhome. Means taps, shower and toilet don’t work… luckily got one off eBay and fitted it. Now fully working.
The car developed a clunking noise. Sadly the near side front spring had broken. Not good. Took it to my friendly garage in Rocester. Sorted, but don’t know how much. Dave at the garage is always behind on his invoices, I am sure I will know next week.

Out for a walk to oakamoor today. There is a trail near the village that has several fairies made from wire on the route. Quite impressive. Seen them about 18 months ago.
Got to oakamoor but couldn’t find the route. So sadly no fairies today……

A busy night at Boys Brigade (on zoom).
Started off with ‘the mummy’. Everyone wrapped their heads up in toilet roll and we all had to guess who was online. We did a similar thing by wrapping something up and people had to guess by the shape of things.
Quick game of a modified I-spy game.
Followed by a bible video clip and breakout groups to discuss it.
Guess the baby was next with baby pics of the kids and leaders. Everyone had to guess who was who. My pic was the only black and white one ??
Finished off with a few puzzles.

Very few people were out this morning so it was nice to see the birds.
This morning I saw a heron, don’t often see it. A woodpecker and a buzzard (I think).
