Popped over to my sons new property in Nottingham.Fun time had by all assembling 4 beds. Forgot what fun it is to assemble IKEA. As expected the men didn’t read the instructions and got it wrong, while the women just smiled.
Wardrobes not arrived. Down to david to do those.

Another Civic service. This time as Boys Brigade. They did very well.

At last. I have seen Derby win a game this season
3:2 against Birmingham.
After a pretty depressing week where some of the players behaved badly it’s nice to see a win.

Out this morning knocking on doors and giving people questionnaires.
Weather not good, v wet. On the positive side they felt sorry for me, even got offers of coffee. Sadly had to decline as I am off to the football later….

Two hours, three counties bus trip for a beer and curry…. must be mad…
Left home at 17:00, leaving Staffordshire, through Derbyshire and into Nottinghamshire. Due in the pub in Nottingham 19:00. Meal at 20:30.
Hope the curry is good….

At last had a chance to play on one of my tractors.
Drove it home and yes it fits under the carport. Was worried it was too high.
Just need to fix the other one.

Busy week and it’s only Thursday morning.
Community transport.
One trustee board meeting. The AGM where I had to present the financial accounts, bit worrying as the previous treasurer was in the audience. Drove minibus to take people to the day centre.
Boys Brigade
Sadly only there for half the session but very rewarding.
Council work
Monday afternoon spent with parish council people responding to a housing consultation paper. Monday evening scrutiny meeting (next week looking into disability grants). Last night meeting going through the manifesto.
And today chasing up why potholes and pavements aren’t being fixed fast enough. Standing in the middle of a busy road hoping I don’t get run over.
Really enjoying it, but no time for work, sorting out the house move or playing with my tractors….

Community Transport AGM tonight.
Had to leave Boys Brigade early and head for the AGM. As treasurer I presented the financial accounts for the first time. Luckily not too many difficult questions.

Moved to Denstone, and within 11 days the only pub in the village (The Tavern) closed.
That’s what I call bad timing. ???
Lets hope a new landlord is found shortly.
