VW Burton, based in the ‘home of brewing’ yet they ‘couldn’t organise a P*** up in a brewery’. You might guess I am not impressed with them.
5 months ago we ordered a new electric car from them. Annoyingly I could have bought a secondhand one straight away but would have cost more than a new one. why!!!
All through the 5 months I had to do the chasing, they didn’t keep me informed.
Eventually built in December, but without some key parts. So the wait continues.
Eventually in jan/feb the car was complete and shipped to the port in Germany. Yet more delays waiting to be loaded.
At last it arrived at the dealers 24th and we can pick it up 29th. Great at last some progress.
Communication with the sales person dire, not answering emails or calls. When we eventually speak his excuse was he ‘was too busy’. I explained that wasn’t my problem.
Changed insurance cleaned car out etc and all set to pick the car up. 18:30 the night before we were due to pick it up I got a voicemail. Sorry a problem we can’t let it go out. No explanation of what was wrong or how quickly it would be fixed…. Not impressed.
Eventually I have got the explanation that it was an ECU fault, quite critical. But still no explanation of when it will be fixed, other than ‘we HOPE to fix it in 10 days maybe’
I do think they need to read the customer care manual if they have one!!!
