Bit annoying I have to take the van to the main dealers (they will not consider third party checks).
So I drive down to Newark fir the checks. It costs me £320 plus fuel. If they allowed third parties it would cost me £150.
Feel I have been ripped off ?
The good bit was that we had a lovely time with relatives while the van was being checked.

Hours of council meetings today. The main one was a 2.25 hr full council meeting.
We had a petition which was presented by a member of the public. She was excellent and very articulate.
Lots of futile motions. We even had an extreme left winger agreeing with the conservative leader.
An interesting if tiring night.

Over the years I have had a few strong 10% ales. And to be honest not had a bad one.
Unfortunately when I tasted this one I was not impressed. Until the beer had warmed up. Then it became a classic….

A good day for progressing local projects.
Got a date with South Staffs water to explore options for a route/bridge across the river Churnet. This will help people in the area have increased options regarding walks and avoid a ‘busy’ country road.
Had a meeting with Openreach to progress a scheme to provide broadband fibre to the premises in Denstone and the surrounding area. Promising.
In discussion with local Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) to survey part of the Staffordshire way. Looking forward to this.

At the Motorhome shop I saw this cooling device.
12 and 240 volt system. Small, and given how hot it is at the moment sounds a good idea.
However at £340 it’s pricey…..
