Got a nice little email from the rental company we used in New Zealand.
It kindly told us that the Police got us for exceeding the speed limit 🙁
Apparently they are quite hot on this (as well as the parking infringement).
To make to worse the rental company is also adding a extra charge as well….

It has taken us 2 days and 9 hrs from Invercargill to home.
It is wet and cold at home, so first job get the fire going…aaaahhhh much better.

All four flights and one tube journey complete.
Very impressed Heathrow to St Pancras at 8:00 on a Monday morning, and the tube was empty. I think it may still be Christmas.
Now safely at St P, awaiting the train….

Sitting in Hong Kong airport in the middle of the night, I sadly go online. Comparing Hong Kong, with Heathrow, and 4 different airports in New Zealand, HK wins hands down with the quality of wifi, free, and not just the limited 30 mins operated elsewhere.

Steady progress, 35 hours and 3 flights after leaving Invercargill we are in Hong Kong.
Only 1 flight, 1 tube, 1 train, 1 bus and 1 taxi journey and we will be home

Tried to buy an ipad in duty free, typical they had lots but not the one I want. Maybe better luck in Hong Kong.
I did manage to buy a couple of nice malts. They will keep me going for a while 🙂

As we reach the end of the holiday the weather gets better. Tonight we were on the beach outside the house at 19:00, messing about in the sea, and it wasn’t too cold (it wasn’t hot either).
