Mia staying with us again.
Not everything went to plan. We agreed to take her to the shops on Sunday. Unfortunately this meant she got up at 5:45 and came into us asking if they are open yet….only 4 hrs to go..

Sally has been asking me to put a worktop in the utility room for 4 years. A good friend (a man of the cloth) got me to do it in 4 days. Thanks Garry. ?
To be fair he bought several kitchen worktops at an auction in Cheadle (£25 not bad) so I had no excuse….

Went for a meal before the Derby game for my birthday. Have to say the restaurant ‘Seven’ on pride park was excellent. A big thank you to my sons.

Birthday treat, off to the NEC car show. Not cheap but enjoyable. Ironically I used the train to get there.

A friend has a nice car he uses for weddings. Unfortunately he couldn’t do a wedding so I stepped in.
Have to own up I was nervous the car would let me down. Only driven it once before (2 days before the wedding).
Everything went to plan. I actually enjoyed it… but didn’t wear a hat ???
