i wonder why I attend full council. It is so pointless. Tonight was the budget setting meeting.

We put forward a small number of amendments. All were rejected.

For example one request was to provide a small number of car parking spaces  for 6th formers on a car park that has lots of space.  Zero cost,  ‘can’t be seen to help one school without considering the rest’

Another was to spend a small amount of money contacting residents that are entitled to pension credit but haven’t claimed it. Helping the most vulnerable. Rejected, someone else should be doing it.
