Another win for Derby, beating Blackpool 1:0.

Best season for years. The team are fighting even if they do lose a lot of away game.

After the 21 point deduction they are bottom with 4 point and heading down but not without a fight.

The Peer Review team finished their work today. They met with 110 people over 2.5 days. To be fair their initial assessment was fairly accurate. Now have to wait for the main report due in a few weeks time.

The panto group Christmas party at the Tavern in Denstone.

Great time, lot of laughs and the food has greatly improved since the last time we were here.

Even did a few rounds of charades. Sally was excellent.

Another fun night at boys brigade. Tonight they are cooking then finishing off with some music.

The Peer Challenge starts at the council. The team from other authorities will be interviewing 110 people over two full days. On the third we get a presentation of their findings…..

It was Rocester’s light switch on tonight. Sadly it was raining heavily and v cold. Not surprisingly v few people were there.

However Santa managed it despite the rain…..

Brother in law and his partner invited us to try a new restaurant near them. Lunar on the Wedgwood estate in barlaston .

Extremely nice and very expensive. They have a Michelin 2 star chef supervising.

As expected the food was well presented and delicious. Not your pub grub.

Very enjoyable evening. Sadly I was driving so I didn’t taste the v nice wine, and the cost per head nearly triple what we normally pay.

Games evening at boys brigade. We are very lucky to have Nik who is excellent in this area. Knows how to engage them in a fun and organised manner.

Another full day of licensing training. Quite informative and it was good to chat to some of the other councillors.

But not used to sitting down for a whole day….. not good

Great time before the game. Caught up with my son after his recent engagement announcement. Great news. A few pints with friends.

And then the football. Optimistic after playing well against the top two teams in the league.

Started well one up with a good goal. Sadly they scored two good goals. This is probably the game that extinguished our v slim chance of staying up.
