Good deed – I think

Sally and I spotted two young lads and a dog without a lead on the edge of a busy road between rocester & Uttoxeter. It was raining.

Apparently the dog was a stray and they wanted to take him home and then put a pic on Facebook.

Luckily we were in the landy, ideal for wet kid, wet dog and a small scooter.

Not sure dad was too happy when son was delivered with another dog, they already have 2.

Couldn’t leave them standing by the roadside in the middle of nowhere.

Bought a new petrol mower yesterday but ran out of time to ‘play with it’.

Rushed back from Leeds today. Got home, put it together, got some petrol, only to find they didn’t include the oil ?

Eventually got a chance to play before the rain on Sunday.

Not had a mower for best part of 10 years…..

A real pleasure

I haven’t driven the community transport mini buses much over the summer. So it was a real pleasure this morning to be picking the adults up to take them to the day centre. A great laugh with all concerned.

A good start to the day.

Incompetent Vodafone

Made a mistake trusting Vodafone.

They cancelled our broadband too early at the old house. Result – no broadband.

We ordered an installation at the new house due to go live 23rd sept. I decided to ring to check where the new router was. They had apparently cancelled the order because the previous occupants hadn’t cancelled their service. So the idiots assumed I wasn’t moving in and the previous people were staying. Did they check – no, can they undo it – no.

So had to start from square one, new date 7 Oct. can they bring it forward – no. Too busy, yet apparently they don’t do such connections on a Friday.

Utterly useless.

End of rant

Welcoming

Out walking the dog at 7:30 this morning. Two people who I met welcomed me into the village, really nice.

Last night again out with the dog, and was invited round a persons house for a cuppa today.

A very welcoming village.
