Out walking around Wetton, and came across this sheep with her 3 young lambs. Couldn’t be more than a couple of hours old as they still had the afterbirth attached.

Nice to see them on a lovely spring day.

Sally retired 11 days ago.

Tonight she popped around to a friend for a couple of gins. Normally she couldn’t do this as she would be up at 5:45 Monday morning.

I think she has seen the advantage of retirement.

To be fair, she didn’t have many, and wasn’t the only one there.

Had to dust of the DJ. Not worn it for a little while. You usually see me in walking gear.

Really enjoyable ‘Motown’ evening at Branston golf club. Shruti & Sue organised a great evening.

Sally and I were out for the night so Alfie had an overnight visit to his mum & dad.

he is much bigger than his mum.

enjoyed himself and was tired when he got home.

Alfie decided to learn to drive my tractor (Florence) today.

Decided to potter about on my tractor, calling at the butcher for some meat.

Thought it was interesting that a 60+ year old tractor was parked next to a new electric BMW.

Did get a few smiles as I drove through town.?

Did the denstone litter pick this morning. Organised by the WI. I actually enjoyed it.

Collected quite a lot (this is only part of it). Surprised given how clean the area looks.

The council will pick it up on Monday.

Finished off with a cuppa.

Nearly half a day going through the accounts at Ashbourne community transport today.

Sally found a picture of our house on the Mayfield Heritage Facebook site.

No porch and our lounge was a garage. No cars around. My guess would be early 70’s, but no real idea.
