My grandson meets his great great aunt/uncle for the first time. 85 year gap between them….
They are experts at looking after young children.
Plenty of toys for Cole to play on.
He did enjoy stroking the chickens.

Son wanted a new drive, so I agreed to help. I keep on forgetting I am not 30 anymore.

My little Moggy (Morris 1000 convertible) needs a bit of TLC. So decides to take the head off the engine.
Think it needs a clean up. Head sent away for more TLC.

i decided to organise a walk for the visually impaired. Don’t ask me why…
I have a number of friends that are blind, but I didn’t appreciate all the difficulties they faced.
I decided to organise a walk as part of the Moorlands Walking Festival, under the umbrella of the campaign for the protection of rural England (whom I am a trustee in Staffordshire).
First thanks to the Rocester Rotary who kindly donated money so everyone got a drink and bacon butty half way round.
One of my mistakes was starting the walk from Froghall Wharf, no public transport and they couldn’t get there. Second big thanks to a friend Allan who kindly loaned me a minibus.
The plan was to pick them all up at Leek bus station. Didn’t go to plan. Sadly a common occurrence is blind people waiting at bus stops and the bus just drives past. Today it happened and I headed towards Stoke to pick up one of the walkers. Really glad I had the bus. So off we go from leek to Froghall Wharf for the walk.
Despite a lot of organising and stress the walk went ahead along the canal to the Black Lion.
i think they enjoyed it. They did ask if I could organise another.

It’s that time of the year, so I am off to the crucible to watch the world championship.
Snooker not my favourite sport but I do enjoy going once a year for the experience.
really enjoyable despite a 10:00 start in Sheffield.
