Off to the local vintage show with one grandchild, and two more turn up – unplanned. Great time.
Cole checking out the tractors… that’s my boy.
Not sure mum would like him on a bike.

Last game of the season, at home against Stoke.
The good news, we stay up. The bad news, the football is poor.
The best bit by far is the beer & banter before the game.

i decided to organise a walk for the visually impaired. Don’t ask me why…
I have a number of friends that are blind, but I didn’t appreciate all the difficulties they faced.
I decided to organise a walk as part of the Moorlands Walking Festival, under the umbrella of the campaign for the protection of rural England (whom I am a trustee in Staffordshire).
First thanks to the Rocester Rotary who kindly donated money so everyone got a drink and bacon butty half way round.
One of my mistakes was starting the walk from Froghall Wharf, no public transport and they couldn’t get there. Second big thanks to a friend Allan who kindly loaned me a minibus.
The plan was to pick them all up at Leek bus station. Didn’t go to plan. Sadly a common occurrence is blind people waiting at bus stops and the bus just drives past. Today it happened and I headed towards Stoke to pick up one of the walkers. Really glad I had the bus. So off we go from leek to Froghall Wharf for the walk.
Despite a lot of organising and stress the walk went ahead along the canal to the Black Lion.
i think they enjoyed it. They did ask if I could organise another.
