The local WI spend a lot of time making postbox toppers for the village postboxes.

The winter ones are really nice especially with a touch of frost.

Really good if somewhat messy evening at Boys Brigade. Tonight it was making biscuits.

Quite a short one. Over within the hour.

Got asked a few questions on a rather technical financial report. More political than wanting to understand the council’s borrowing strategy.

Next full council isn’t until the 20 February when I have to present the budget. I am expecting a few more questions.

Went to Rocester church to watch the Glebe symphonic wind orchestra (bit of a mouthful) perform. An excellent performance.

We enjoyed their concert last year so much that sally asked to join the band. They perform at a very high standard which sally enjoys.

As usual a great event. Proud of all the hard work sally has put into it. around 250 lanterns. Impressive.

Boys Brigade led the procession, just behind the mayor.

Krystyna’s boyfriend kindly took us out to the Duncombe Arms tonight. a very nice place.

A very nice meal as expected. Mia enjoyed herself.

An enjoyable walk around Cannock chase with friends.

I don’t visit Cannock chase enough. It has lots of scope for decent length walks. Just need to make sure Alfie doesn’t get lost.
