Just been listening to the latest one day cricket between Australia and England.
Really depressing, one of the best last wicket stands has denied us a win yet again. This is whitewash on whitewash…..
Is there anything we can do to get a win?

So far so good. Been in the Wirral two days, and it’s a very friendly place, people always keen to help you.
Had my cheapest cup of tea for a long time – 60p in a small cafe. Lovely cuppa, and a nice chat.

Got a nice little email from the rental company we used in New Zealand.
It kindly told us that the Police got us for exceeding the speed limit 🙁
Apparently they are quite hot on this (as well as the parking infringement).
To make to worse the rental company is also adding a extra charge as well….

A hard call, fracking brings lots of benefits, however it is hated by people who live in the areas that fracking will take place. People are worried that the environmental factors outweigh the benefits, concerned about earthquakes etc. However coming back from New Zealand, they live with the real threat of earthquakes every day of the year, and it doesn’t unduly worry them
So do hard pressed councils take the money knowing that they will lose votes at the next election?

Got another job (interim at Wirral) starting next week. So my idea of being a ‘kept man’ has only lasted 2 weeks.
Quite looking forward to the new challenge.

A very sad day for me, little Crystal passed away this morning. She died peacefully in her basket after a good long life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

West Midlands ambulance service is at risk of a £3m fine for missing its punctuality targets.
Taking resource from a service under pressure doesn’t seem very bright. If you want penalties why not fine the senior managers (and reward if they hit targets), that way the patients aren’t impacted.
